The Sunshine Zimbabwe Project was established in January 2011 to provide education and training to adolescents and adults with intellectual disabilities. This initiative is an innovation in vocational skills training that develops the necessary vocational and interpersonal skills of members through the provision of sheltered employment, financial gain and a feeling of self-worth.
The Sunshine Zimbabwe Project mission is to:
• Provide adolescent and adult pupils with vocational training in a safe, appropriately run environment
• Create public awareness of Sunshine Zimbabwe Project whilst simultaneously showcasing the abilities of those with special needs
• Provide access to fulfilling constructive and fairly paid work.
This Project is registered as a division of Silver Linings Trust – find out more here.
